This is the most important hire we'll make. You're not joining a team with an established way of doing things. You're building the thing, with us, from scratch. That means real decisions, real ownership, and real consequences. Not a ticket queue.

About Nimble

We're building personal judgment infrastructure. AI that doesn't just remember what you said, but learns how you think. Most tools store your stuff. Nimble compounds it into something useful: sharper instincts, faster decisions, context that travels with you across every tool you use.

We're London-based, venture backed, and moving fast. Small team, big problem, zero fluff.

What you'll do

• Work directly with the founder on what Nimble actually is and how it works
• Build the memory layer: retrieval, reasoning, the AI systems that make personal context genuinely useful
• Own the macOS app and lead the product across platforms as we grow
• Talk to users constantly. Watch them use the product. Let it change what you build
• Make architecture calls, stack choices, and the tradeoffs that define how this thing scales
• Set the engineering culture from day one

Who you are

We care about what you've built and how you think, not where you went to school or how many years you've been doing it.

• Strong backend or full-stack engineer
• High agency. You don't wait for a spec
• You think about the product, not just the code
• Comfortable making calls with incomplete information
• Clear communicator, good to work with
• Excited about what AI-native products can actually do for people
• Genuinely curious about users and why they do what they do

Nice to have

• You've worked with retrieval systems, LLM infrastructure, search, or sync
• You've built something from zero, at a startup or on your own
• You've shipped desktop or developer tooling

About the role

This is not a support role. It's not a "chief of staff" role either. It's the role for someone who wants to be in the room where everything happens, has opinions about all of it, and is ready to own things that matter from day one.

You'll work directly with the CEO across customer obsession, go-to-market, and fundraise prep. But honestly, your fingerprints will be on everything. That's the point. If you're the kind of person who's already thinking about starting something of your own one day, this is where you come to learn how it's really done.

What you'll do

• Own our go-to-market motion. Talk to users obsessively. Figure out what's working, what isn't, and fix it
• Help the CEO prepare for the next fundraise: materials, narrative, research, outreach
• Spot gaps across the business and fill them before anyone asks you to
• Dig into problems no one has fully defined yet and come back with a point of view
• Think creatively about how Nimble shows up in the world
• Be a genuine thought partner to the CEO. Push back. Bring ideas. Disagree when you're right
